Brother Gregory Oram, O.S.F.
Brother Gregory (Henry W. Oram), a Brooklynite, entered St. Francis Monastery on December 1, 1881. During the following month while he was very ill and his recovery was despaired of, Brother Gregory was admitted to the Habit. Following his recovery Brother was admitted to profession on August 2, 1883. For many years he taught or was principal in the following schools: St. Anthony's, St. Charles, Our Lady of Mercy and St. Mary's. During his religious life he held many important offices of trust in the Congregation: Master of Novices, Master of Brothers in Temporary Vows, and General Consultor. His years of zealous service closed with his death on February 7, 1920.
